Boogua
QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 30, 2014 -> 07:54 AM) You just dissed Larry Bird and Magic Johnson... And the reason MJ seemed to have no equal was because he's the GOAT. As for LeBron, as good as he is, he still hasn't touched MJ level of greatness and the gap between him and Durant isn't really that wide IMO. I've said this before and I'll say it again, Durant will surpass LBJ as the best player in the NBA within the next couple of years. I'm not even sure how this can be argued. It's not even a slight to Lebron. I think I read somewhere that he's played like 40,000+ minutes already in his career. I do expect him to be a top player for a while though. Michael's prime, dominant years, he had no one else to keep him going. He still raped face, but yeah.

Dick Allen
How much better could MJ have been? He didn't need anyone else. He would have had the chip on his shoulder if he were playing one on one vs. me.

Michael's prime, dominant years, he had no one else to keep him going. He still raped face, but yeah. Bird and Johnson were there for the beginning, and guys like Hill and Hardaway towards the end, but it was a game for bigs. O'Neal, Olajuwan, Ewing, Robinson, Mourning, Malone, Kemp, and even Barkley. Frankly, with the physicality and the hand checks that were allowed back then, it's amazing that Jordan was as good as he was.

I remember everyone was touting Mitch Richmond as the MJ killer because he had a good game against the Bulls. Im pretty sure MJ choked him out pretty much every time they played each other for the rest of their careers vs each other

chw42
The stat lines didn't indicate that KD outplayed LeBron last night, but holy s*** did his highlights look good. I only watched ESPN's highlights, so take that for what it's worth, but it looked like Durant was shooting (and making) 3s at will. Just taking it up the court and shooting it in LeBron's face. Steve9347
QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 30, 2014 -> 10:15 AM) Gee, maybe he was tired from ALWAYS guarding KD? One-on-one, LeBron would destroy KD's frail little ass. If I have one game to win, I'm taking LeBron all day over KD, and I'm really tired of hearing otherwise. bmags
Weird stat, DJ Augustin currently has a better 3-point shooting percentage (42.7) than 2-point FG% (42.6). I wonder how common that is. Edit: Appears to happen a lot for three point specialists. Korver's 53% year from 3 he shot 8% better from 3pt land than 2pts (I'm guessing all due to hilarious layup attempts). Maybe, maybe not but last I heard, they play 5-5. Starting a franchise right now, gimme a 25 year old Durant. LBJ may have already peaked, he's staring at 30 with a ton of mileage. Sure, he's durable but let's see if that holds up in his 30s. Get mad Edited January 30, 2014 by MexSoxFan#

Durant will play second fiddle, games in December in the NBA are meaningless except to those with little brother complexes that think they have to prove something, like the Bulls . Jake
A less contentious and perhaps more easily measured question -- what caliber of scorer are we talking about w/ KD? Is he the best since Jordan (that would mean better than Kobe)?
