Jake
It seems to me that Cleveland is a team where the inmates are running the asylum. I think they should be better than this
Kyyle23
QUOTE (Jake @ Feb 6, 2014 -> 08:53 AM) It seems to me that Cleveland is a team where the inmates are running the asylum. I think they should be better than this Luol said as much. There is no accountability. It must really suck for Luol right now. The Bulls werent going to win a championship anytime soon, but even when Tankfest '14 was going on, it was probably more enjoyable than cleveland

bmags
QUOTE (Jake @ Feb 6, 2014 -> 02:53 PM) It seems to me that Cleveland is a team where the inmates are running the asylum. I think they should be better than this They should. And in the East, having Luol Deng as your second best player doesn't mean you are a bad team. Contrary to Bulls fans opinions of every single player on their team, Luol is actually good! They have more than enough to win, and it's the coach that gets the axe. Look at the bobcats, less talent, imo, but same squandering lack of identity. They finally get a coach who demands they play the way he wants and suddenly they are a playoff team with Al Jefferson as their #1.

I've never particularly disliked Mike Brown, but I would be for firing him now too. That team direly needs leadership. My sense is that the problem is actually Kyrie Irving, to a great extent, but I can't fire him just yet...so I'll hire a coach and hope things can get right. To me the NBA is so strange with coaching. It seems like as soon as you get a coaching gig you are in that circle, and guaranteed to get more and more gigs. If Mike Brown was in the NFL, he would never see a HC gig again after LA and now Cleveland. But the NBA keeps hiring retread coaches that were just bad. Vinny Del Negro will find another gig somehow. Look at all the best coaches. They are either great at handling personalities, or incredible at x's and o's. What is Mike Brown? His calling card hasn't shown through in two teams now. Why hire him instead of an assistant getting their first shot? It's just bizarre.
RockRaines
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 6, 2014 -> 09:22 AM) Pretty sure a root canal is more enjoyable than Cleveland. They do have a nice casino now. Its a lot like detroit with slightly better downtown area. Back in the late 90's-early 2000's the flats was cool, but thats all gone now. You wouldnt believe this but the BEST corned beef sandwich I've ever had is in cleveland. http://www.slymans.com/

Luol's alright. He puts up stats because he plays an obscene amount of minutes. He went 1-10 last night, so it's not like he's not part of the problem over there right now. Jake
I think Luol is really good. He should be the kind of guy that gets a ring, but doesn't get anywhere near the love he deserves on the team he wins it with. While it is worth recognizing that his per-36's won't be as impressive as his per-game stats, the fact that he can play so much is itself a big value. Leonard Zelig
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 6, 2014 -> 08:39 AM) The Cavs lost to a Lakers team that was down to 4 eligible players. How can they play with 4 players?
Kyyle23
QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Feb 6, 2014 -> 01:34 PM) How can they play with 4 players? The last player that fouled out was issued a technical foul to return to the game, and every foul he committed would also be considered a technical. http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/los-ang...avaliers-020614
Rowand44
So Lillard might be doing every event at allstar weekend? That guy is just awesome. And the dunk contest so far has Lillard, George and Wall. Cool. Edited February 6, 2014 by Rowand44

Because, as we've been discussing the past couple of days (and you apparently ignore??) - that roster is hot garbage. Even Thibs couldn't get a .500 team out of it.
