danman31
Anybody else see Mark Jackson saying fans should boycott Game 5? I wish he wouldn't say that because it would directly benefit his team in basketball terms. If Barkley or some other analyst or another owner/coach/player said that, fine. However, Jackson seems like he is taking advantage of the situation to benefit his team. Maybe he is being genuine, but it's impossible to separate the two. Steve9347
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 28, 2014 -> 04:22 PM) Why does Bill Simmons being a season ticket holder make him a hypocrite that he is offended by the owner? Are you saying every season ticket holder of the Clippers is a hypocrite and that they are indirectly racists? Because it's been known for decades that Sterling is a racist, and he bought the tix for Lob City anyway.
Middle Buffalo
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 28, 2014 -> 06:09 PM) Because it's been known for decades that Sterling is a racist, and he bought the tix for Lob City anyway. And Simmons has known for years. I listen to his podcast and he's talked about Sterling several times. He hasn't done it yet, but expect a column or podcast soon where he takes the moral high ground now. Also, it's not like there's only one team in LA and is forced to be a clippers tix holder to see games. As far as this turning into the filibuster, it's an nba thread, and like it or not, this is the big story in the nba right now.

However, Jackson seems like he is taking advantage of the situation to benefit his team. Maybe he is being genuine, but it's impossible to separate the two. And I'm sure the vast majority of tickets have already been purchased before all this anyways. Yet it's ok for the players to play. Real fair for the fans to pay and just not show up. If he's so concerned, why doesn't he not go?

whitesoxfan99
This is beyond pathetic by the Hawks right now. They've completely stopped playing. I think if Thibs wasn't so stubborn with his rotations we would have been better off His rotations wouldn't have won this series. The Wizards are clearly the better team here. The bulls clearly still have Kirk Hinrich as a primary scoring option.

Kyyle23
http://m.espn.go.com/nba/story?storyId=10855864 Erman's dismissal was the second bizarre event involving Jackson's staff in less than two weeks' time. On March 25, management demoted first-year assistant Brian Scalabrine to the club's D-League affiliate in Santa Cruz. Sources say the move was made because Scalabrine exhibited a consistent pattern of disrespect toward Jackson and the other coaches. Mainly, he ignored and refused to speak with the other basketball coaches. At one point, Scalabrine went five weeks without speaking to Jackson, one source said. Scalabrine even avoided the coaches on the team plane, sitting in a separate section, according to one source.
