Donald Sterling's wife isn't exactly his opposite. She's actually getting the same pass Donald has received for years.

I also wonder who these people are who call Sterling and comment about his girlfriend taking photos with black people.

Amazing comeback by the Nets. Down 22 to start the 4th quarter and they have tied the game with 3 minutes left.

I didn't watch but sounds like there were some crazy plays down the stretch.

And Simmons has known for years. I listen to his podcast and he's talked about Sterling several times. He hasn't done it yet, but expect a column or podcast soon where he takes the moral high ground now.

Also, it's not like there's only one team in LA and is forced to be a clippers tix holder to see games.

As far as this turning into the filibuster, it's an nba thread, and like it or not, this is the big story in the nba right now.

I still fail to see how being a season ticket holder = supporting the owner (morally or otherwise). Most season ticket holders are so in spite of the owner.

There was a full page ad in an LA newspaper on Sunday thanking Sterling for his $3 million donation for kidney research to UCLA and stated a research center was going to be named in his honor.

UCLA has returned the approximately $500k already given to them by Sterling. They also said at no time was a building going to be named in his honor, and finally said they had nothing to do with the thank you ad. Sterling actually paid for the ad to thank himself.

Why the hell are they returning it? If it is for cancer research, who cares where it came from. Keep the money, just don't honor him for it.

That dude's a piece of crap. I just saw the add, it was absolutely created to look like an ad from the university. Not even a HINT it was placed by the donator.

Like I said, he runs those kinds of ads all the time.

It could have been a condition of the donation.

Thanks to ‪#‎Bulls‬ season ticket holder for clearing up the cat fight at Game 5 loss to Wizards. Apparently a female fan was overserved & launching vulgarities towards Carlos Boozer on the bench. First time she threw a cup at the bench, the ice hit DRose & spilled onto court. Fans started telling her to put a lid on it - she started directing her vulgarities to Carlos' GF who WALKED AWAY. A friend of the GF defended her & THAT was who the fan started clawing at. For the many kids in the area behind the Bulls bench, it was despicable behavior by the supposed Bulls fan shouting vulgar insults at Carlos Boozer. Kudos to his GF for taking the high road & walking away, but many sitting in the area thought the woman should've been ejected after the first cup of ice was thrown at the Bulls bench. There you have it. http://guyism.com/sports/catfight-behind-b...girlfriend.html

Simmons tweets he feels good about this prediction:

Thibs (like Doc) traded away for 1st round pick (Lakers!) and Bulls hire Fred Hoiberg.

Do you do this trade?

Lakers have already traded their 2015 and 2017 picks so can they even trade their 2014 draft pick?

What is the Ted Stepien Rule?

The NBA prohibits teams from trading first-round draft picks in successive seasons. The rule was put in place in response to Ted Stepien's disastrous run as owner and de facto general manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Apparently the loophole in the Ted Stepien rule is that if the Bulls sent one of their other 1st round picks, they can acquire the Lakers pick.

A team MUST have at least one 1st round pick every other year.

why is it that the Lakers consistently find other teams and convince the other team to bend over backwards for them? Not that it has happened yet, but i am now feeling that it has a good chance
