Rose said his vert is 5 inches better than pre injury.

Well he said comming into the league he was at 37 (which I believe is incorrect as he was a 40 at the combine) and now is around 42. I would say a couple inches is about right. (giggity)

Btw Jimmy Butler is going to hurt some other sg's this year, that kid is beast mode.

I just hope Thibs doesn't over work him so that he is worn out come playoff time.

I loved watching Jimmy play last night. That kid had springboards shoes. After every missed shot, you can count on him to be around the ball and leaping over bigger guys to get go it. And his ability to get to the line is refreshing to see.

Since it was preseason last night, I was hoping Thibs would give Snell and Teague more burn, but it doesn't seem like Thibs trust either guy yet, which means Jimmy will be play close to 40 minutes this year.

Snell was definitely nervous and played awful last night. I'm with you though, I loved the pick of Snell and hope he gets at least some pt this year but with Thibs track record that's very unlikely.

Ya he's going to see Luol Deng minutes this year, I'd bet on that.

He does have at least 1 legit backup in Dunleavy, right? And Hinrich, if healthy will probably get some minutes there, and the guy they drafted out of Florida whose name I don't even have down yet will get a few minutes per game also.

The day I have my first child will not be as happy as tonight.

Derrick Rose is back, he's inviting contact, and I am finally, finally f***ing at peace.

Welcome back, Derrick. Bulls will be champs this year. Book it.

"Yawn".

Eric Murphy, he's a PF.

Looking at the box scores I was kinda surprised to see neither Pittman nor White got any minutes, esp with Noah out...Looks like Nazy will be the backup C and Murphy will be the 5th big.

Ah, I got em backwards, Snell is a SG/SF type and he ought to at least get a few rotation minutes at SG, particularly in garbage time.

Why? Both of those guys are terrible.

White has had some good years off the bench and I've got a soft spot for Pittman as a fellow fatty. I thought with some work under Thibs he could be a better option than Naz. Saw him for a second pre game and he looks to be in "good shape" for him.

White was never a "good" bench player. He had some passable seasons several years and a couple of teams ago. The bigger issue is that he's a PF, which doesn't help the Bulls. If they're going to play a 6'9" guy, they might as well use Taj. Pittman wasn't even that great in college and has been brutal in the NBA. I'll put it this way: the Heat cut him, and they desperately need size.
