I'd really like Bulls to run with a lineup of Rose-Butler-Lou-Gibson-Noah this year. Just dominating defensively (beside rose), and hopefully Rose can add the offense to make it feasible. The rebounding would be insane. Jimmy is just ridiculous on the o boards.

I'd be pretty surprised to see Taj not ascend to the starting lineup. Boozer also provides a bit more spacing for the 2nd team.

I think a lot of Bulls' fans would like that. I know I would, Boozer's +/- stats have been terrible with the Bulls. Let him destroy fringe NBA guys with the second unit. Even if they don't make the switch, I'd like it if Taj gets closer to 30 MPG than 20.

Between injuries and knowing what everyone else can do, why not?

I think the surpise is actually just continuing to not know who he is on the court. Every time I see him I think "who the hell is that guy?"

I also sincerely thought Snell was Eddie Robinson first time I saw him in uniform.

I think he looks like Darius Miles, but I see Eddie Robinson too now.

I love the aggression that Rose is showing. The rust will get cleaned up

So, I'm bored, my fantasy football teams suck, and it's almost NBA season. I thought I'd throw up some predictions here...

West

Clippers over Blazers in 5 (have the Clippers #1 due to the Spurs resting old guys and Westbrook's injury costing the Thunder a few wins)

Spurs over Mavericks in 4

Thunder over Warriors in 5

Rockets over Grizzlies in 7

Clippers over Rockets in 7

Thunder over Spurs in 6

Thunder over Clippers in 5

East

Heat over Cavs in 4 (going out on a limb and saying they get around 100 games combined from Varejao and Bynum. East sucks beyond the top-4)

Bulls over Wizards in 5

Pacers over Hawks in 5

Nets over Knicks in 6 (obviously depends on health of Brooklyn's old dudes)

Heat over Nets in 6

Bulls over Pacers in 7

Heat over Bulls in 7

Finals

Heat over Thunder in 7

MVP- Durant (only because of Lebron fatigue)

ROY- Trey Burke (would be Oladipo if he could start at SG)

6th man- Reggie Jackson if he qualifies

Most Improved- I would say Valanciunas or Drummond, but it usually goes to guys that have slightly more NBA experience. I'll also avoid the obvious Utah guys and go with Ersan Ilyasova finally putting together a good season instead of just half of one (something like 17-9).

You forgot DPOY in your individual analysis. Watch Dwight go HAM. He's healthy and mad. Just wait.

It's so hard to make predictions because a lot of it depends on health, team chemistry, etc. There are too many unknowns. As of now the Heat obviously have to be the favorite, but could you imagine them having a to play a completely healthy Nets team that play well together? How would the Heat counter KG and Lopez? Who would guard D-Will?

The Bulls completely healthy would obviously give them a run for their money too. The Bulls could give them similar problems to what the Pacers did last year except that they would have a much better backcourt and a star player to go through down the stretch.

It's just way too early. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bulls pulled off the 1 seed this year.

This sounds very similar to the questions you could have asked the last couple years about the Heat and the Celtics. How would they deal with Rondo, how would they deal with all the size the Celtics have.

The Heat have already had success with guys like Chalmers and Birdman filling those roles, and they're able to be pretty good at it because the other guys on the court can do so much on both ends that they can focus on narrow roles. On top of that this year, the Heat have the several high risk, high reward rolls of the dice to throw in there. Think for a second how that question looks if Oden can average 20 minutes and 8 boards a game, suddenly all their size issues are gone because they can neutralize the opponent any time they go "really big".

That's kind of the point of predictions.
