caulfield12
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 28, 2013 -> 04:32 PM) Unless they had already flew someone up here just in case, to make a roster move between games with... just in case. If it was last year, it would be worth at least some consideration...although I doubt they'd enjoy jerking their top pitching prospect around in that manner. Probably it would be a sacrificial lamb like Berken, Castro or Arroyo.
Balta1701
QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 28, 2013 -> 06:32 PM) No, but it would be interesting if they pulled Johnson from his start tonight, and put Axelrod in the pen tonight. edit: the Charlotte game just started, so it's probably too late for that. They also wouldn't get the extra roster spot for tomorrow so someone would have to be sent down and wait 10 days before coming back.

flavum
This was the king of all "giving it right back" games: http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/NY...200708020.shtml ended up winning. Edited June 28, 2013 by flavum
caulfield12
Straight 94 MPH FB got too much of the plate...looking for it and got it. Seeing eye single. At first, it seemed like DeAza should have kept Reynolds to 2nd but he had a long way to go for it. Too many fastballs throw behind in the count today...too predictable in their pitching patterns. caulfield12
QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 28, 2013 -> 04:44 PM) Omo's been there before. And will be back again. Ground rule double prevents another run from scoring. Center cut fastball. Omogrosso will undoubtedly get more appearances for the Sox this season, but he's just not good enough to be part of the long-term future. Keep waiting for the low point this season. Two innings already with crooked 5's up there. Will there be 1000 fans left at the end of this doubleheader? The second game will be starting at 8:30-8:45. (WHY ARE ALL WHITE SOX GAMES SEEMINGLY 3 1/2 HOURS LONG THIS YEAR???) Omogrosso not even giving a second thought to the baserunner at 1B. Beckham nailed on the wrist with the short hop throw...right where he had that surgery on the hand, of course. And it gets even better...Troncoso "warming." This might be the BOTTOM. Then again, the Tigers have 19 more shots at us this year. Edited June 28, 2013 by caulfield12

flavum
Really dumb not to bring up an arm when you can. Ventura didn't want one because Danks pitched deep on Wednesday. Lesson hopefully learned.

Real
lol at this team Hahn and Williams should seriously be embarrassed and fans should be offended at our home grown talent and the inability to groom these players next post season appearance? 2016? that's being generous
