Players don't just drop the gloves and beat the s*** out of the other guy if they are not looking to drop the gloves also. All Kessel had to do was skate away from Scott and it would have been over. Scott would not have jumped on him and started pounding him.

Using his stick a second time, later after everything had cooled down was the real bush league move.

That is worse that bush league. It was disgusting.

Considering how quickly Scott dropped his gloves and grabbed him, there really wasn't much of a chance to skate away.

That is why I was iffy on the first swing with the stick.

Yeah, the first hack wasn't that bad. It could be blamed on reactionary or being scared or what not. The 2nd and 3rd hits with his stick were after Scott was being held up by other players, or not even going after Kessel. THAT was f***ing terrible.

Also sort of OT: but anyone hear about the story with former Blackhawk Jake Dowell? Absolutely horrible story. http://m.startribune.com/?id=224964322

E:60 is going to air his story tonight. I'm going to miss it cause of work, but it's probably a must see. The Wild have some great stories on that team with Dowell and Harding. I wish Jake and his family the best.

3 preseason games. Sounds about right.

I assume you are being sarcastic, because that suspension is a joke. Wow, suspend a veteran from playing meaningless preseason games? I'M SURE HE IS ALL HEARTBROKEN ABOUT IT.

f***ing stupid. Give him 5 regular season games.

That entire scene was a joke. Fair suspension in my book.

Horrific, start a fight then skate away slashing, come up again when the guy you initially engaged is already fighting/grappling and spear him.

The two handed baseball swing and the spear were just bad. I don't get how that is only three games. Tell me how that isn't worse than some of the other actual hockey plays on big hits that result in longer suspensions.

John Scott was not injured.

The best part of the video is Scott patting the linesman on the back, basically saying ok we're done.
