They were up 6-1, what were the Avs so pissed about?

Roy is a dick, thats about it. He threw a couple of goons out at the end of a blowout win.

Their 18 year old, #1 overall pick, Nathan Mackinnon, was kneed about 30 seconds before this and it was not called. Mackinnon was also roughed up earlier in the game. Roy responded accordingly with the line. The Ducks players completely made it worse by reacting to the small cross check the Avs player did.

Thanks. That makes a bit more sense.

I want to see Saad get a shot at shootouts. Hossa is no good at them. IIRC, Sharp is pretty awful at them too.

Hossa's career % is not as bad as I thought, but Sharp's is. How about giving Handzus a shot?

Toews: 27/56 - 48.2%

Handzus: 19/40 - 47.5%

Kane: 29/67 - 43.3%

Hossa: 16/48 - 33.3%

Sharp: 8/41 - 19.5%

Nobody else has attemped more than 6, although Shaw is 1-5, Saad is 1-4 so far.

So tomorrow is the first game of the "Keep the Red Out" campaign that the Predators and Blues are putting on to stop Blackhawks fans from attending hockey games at their arenas. However, tomorrow's Hawks game vs. the St. Louis Blues will be played at the SAME TIME as the Pirates and Cardinals game, also in St. Louis. So, we may in fact see a lot of Blues fans selling their tickets to Hawks fans so they can attend playoff baseball over regular season hockey, or even stay home and watch an elimination playoff baseball game over going to see the Blues.

Moral of this story. Hawks fans are going to paint the Scottrade Center red tomorrow, and there is nothing they can do about it. GO HAWKS!
