Alaska State troppers had an episode where a trooper had to go to some reservation where there was a youth basketball game that needed a police presence.

Also along these lines. Youth baseball game last year. Kid swings at pitch and pitch hits his wrist, umpire calls a strike. Kid is laying on the ground and instead of dealing with the kid everyone (parents/coaches) are arguing with the umpire. It was a travel game at their place and their umpire. It was the right call. We play them later in the season the kid did break his wrist. 90% of parents are morons.

90 might be low.

Not really looking as forward to Saturday as I was a couple of months back. Weather is going to be abysmal.

Lots of people are chickening out. I will be at the warm bar for sure.

1500 tickets on stubhub

I am happy with decision to pass on tickets, especially given how damn expensive they were.

I am disappointed that they are playing the Penguins. It's the one time they come to town, I'd rather see the Hawks play them on good ice indoors.

Ryan Miller to the Blues. Huge pick up by the Hawks #1 competitor

edit: Officially Halak, Stewart, Carrier and draft picks to Buffalo for Miller and Ott.

@TheChicagoHomer: Ryan Miller against Eastern Conference this year: 2.42 GAA, .931 save percentage.

Against the West: 3.37, .907.

@PumperNicholl: Ryan Miller stats against the Central Division in 2013-14:

1-6-0

3.66 GAA

.866 SV%

This game appears to be lined up to be more of a s*** fest than it would be just from being outside. Snow will make this a true pond hockey game, for a game that counts for 2 (or 3!) points in the NHL. Instead of 2 of the best teams in the league playing on a nice, fast surface, we will have bad, s***ty hockey, all so the NHL can have 24 outdoor games this year. Do it once, Jan 1, rotate it around, the end. I'll be watching tomorrow, but the hockey won't be any good. And that sucks. Robbed of one of the better regular season matchups of the season.

But, hey, if you enjoy teams battling elements instead of playing on a good surface, this will be your game! /nfl thread
