Don't be surprised if Kesler ends up in CHI via a blind three way deal....... Lot going on behind scenes on this one!

TRADE THEM BICKELL. (as a the salary helper, not as an actual player of value)

Between Kesler, Gaborik, & Vanek all being available, things could get interesting by tomorrow. The NHL trade deadline easily has the most action of the major sports.

I want Kesler badly. Helps us in so many ways.

tsnjamesduthie: Roberto Luongo confirms he has been traded to Florida. Signing papers right now. #Tradecentre

Whoa! Man, the Canucks f***ed up their goalie situation so badly. Best part is, Luongo can retire early and stick the Canucks with an $8 million cap penalty in 2021 or so.

Apparently the Flyers and the Penguins are going bananas in a bidding war on Kesler.

ESPN.COM: Pierre LeBrun reports the Vancouver Canucks are still fielding calls for Ryan Kesler. The Pittsburgh Penguins have considerable interest, while a number of clubs (including the Anaheim Ducks) are keeping tabs on the Kesler situation. The NY Rangers made inquiries but a source says Kesler won’t waive his NTC for them.

VANCOUVER PROVINCE: Ben Kuzma claims the Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers are engaged in a bidding war for Kesler. Kuzma claims the Flyers are willing to offer up Brayden Schenn in a package offer for the Canucks center.

TRIBLIVE.COM: Rob Rossi claims the Penguins are willing to include top prospect Derrick Pouliot in their package offer for Kesler. The Penguins are also reportedly interested in New Jersey Devils defenseman Marek Zidlicky and Edmonton Oilers winger Ales Hemsky.

I can honestly not think of a player that would help the Hawks more over the next handful of seasons. He's what they've needed for awhile. Obviously, matching salaries would be tricky for a team up against the cap, but you cannot let the Penguins find a way to make this move.

would there be a better 2nd line center on the market than Kesler? 2-way player, points and lethal at the dot. Such a great fit and instead we've spent our time extending a plug and trading for fringe D men.

No. That's exactly what I'm saying. He's a perfect fit. Instead, the Hawks zoned in on their right-handed D-Man.

The deadline's not here, but it's pretty clear the Hawks have, once-again, spent their way into inflexibility. $10 million between Bryan Bickell and Corey Crawford for next season. F*cking great.

Oh, and don't forget that BRANDON BOLLIG is going to cost $1.25 million next year. smh.

Oh you dont agree with overpaying probably the most replaceable guy on the roster?

Great moves and head scratchers. Mgmt is weird sometimes.

Martin St. Louis to the Rangers, Ryan Callahan, a 2014 2nd, and a 2015 1st to Tampa.

Apparently St. Louis was pissed at his GM Yzerman for not originally selecting him to the Olympic team, and despite ending up with a gold medal anyway, he wanted out.
