I'm not a fan of the jerseys that have sayings or things like that on the back. The only exception was back in the old Chicago Stadium, I remember seeing a guy in the section over every game that had a WIRTZ jersey and the number was a $.

Plus, I think Joe Murphy takes offense to it.

Other amazing 17's (posting this for Steve so he can throw up this morning):

J.P. Dumont

Michal Grosek

Wendel Clark

Reto Von Arx

Mike Peluso

Chris Simon

What an epic list

I adored JP Dumont thanks to a hat trick he scored as a rookie. I remain livid that he was added a deal simply to dump Doug Gilmour months after signing him.

But the coach and GM are largely responsible for the success of the team and franchise.

Dale Tallon drafted Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, and Duncan Keith, among others. He is neither the current coach nor the current GM.

Those are, easily, the three best players on the team and three of the best players on the planet.

You make it sound so easy. Maybe I was wrong.

Of course keeping them, remaking the team around them after a cup to win another would probably take at least a little skill. Half the arm chair GMs wanted Kane gone a couple of years ago. So who knows.

There's the Bryzgalov we know and love.

Game 5 announced as a 8:00 start on Sunday night, wow NHL.

Golf on NBC. And SOCCER. Not a big deal. Sure beats 11:30am hockey.

Any time you want to make a stop, Crawford...

Beyond brutal. You knew a clunker was coming at some point. Awful timing.

I, too, loved JP.

Unbelievable. Still didn't see the penalty on Roszival.

He caught it, ran for 3 yards to get the first down, then threw it off the boards. I actually caught that live and was furious. You knew they'd score on something so f***ing stupid.

The only way it could have been better if it was at the UC and the whole crowd would have been all BOOOOOOOOOOOO as about 2% of the people would know the rule.

In other news, he was f***ing awful outside of that tonight. Here's what you do. Brookbank has actually been fine. Sitting Leddy was stupid for Brookbank. Let Brookbank play for Rozsival.

Finally, those lines were awful. Not that they weren't then changed 55 times.

Can't wait for more RLG on Sunday.

They're getting stomped. No doubt about it.

They got outskated badly.

Like Krush always says, a series doesn't start until a road team wins a game.

Yup, 2-2, nothing has happened so far, series doesn't even exist yet.

Good response to the embarrassment that was Tuesday. Yikes.

Hawks have been outplayed the vast majority of the series. Luckily, it's 2-2.

All the sudden Sunday is a must win.
