I can't think of a fan base more fickle than blackhawk fans (and maybe this is true for the NHL in general, but I don't know that). The swing in mood from a win to a loss is unbelievable. Listening to this postgame show, I'm worried that there are actually people on the ledge of a building somewhere getting ready to jump. The same people will be looking forward to stanley cup ticket pre-sales if they win the next one.

Honest to god, Brandon Bollig does nothing for a professional hockey team. He doesn't hit, he doesn't fight, he doesn't score, he doesn't have skate well, he doesn't "provide energy." Literally, he does nothing. I am so sick of hearing about how he "sticks up for his guys" when on a consistent basis, Kane/Sharp/Toews/etc get hit, Bollig's line comes out next, and he's nowhere to be found. Not that "sticking up" for them would do much good, but regardless, if that's his "role," he sucks at it.

All in all, there was no logic behind his extension and I'm hoping that maybe another cup and a few ok performances gets him some attention from teams like Edmonton, Calgary, NYI, etc. Hey, I can dream. Dallas signed Burish after their championship in 2010, so maybe another team would give the Hawks a bag of pucks for this dope.

Chris Kuc reporting that Regin is replacing Bollig tonight. Finally!

Also, top two lines appear to be Bickell - Toews - Kane and Sharp - Kruger - Hossa

Yeah Hawks have a chance now.

#Blackhawks lines: Bickell-Toews-Hossa, Sharp-Handzus-Kane, Saad-Shaw-Versteeg, Bollig-Kruger-Smith. A Q ploy, perhaps? Or the real deal?

ESPNChicago reporting the same thing. f***ing Quenneville.

Scratch that, looks like Chris Kuc was right all along. Q was showing some "gamesmanship"
