Peavy to Boston, Avisail Garcia + 3 low lv specs to Sox

Recommended Posts

I would actually take on Ian Kennedy and Kubel if it meant a nice package in return. If the Sox received some combo of Owings, Davidson, Holmberg, Delgado, Eaton, I would gladly take those contracts. May be able to dump Kubel in August and if not just play him in the OF for the rest of season. Ian Kennedy is a guy that could definitely get traded in the offseason. Arizona pays Peavy's deal. We pay Kubel and Kennedy and also get 3 nice prospects. Maybe throw in Lindstrom as well. Sounds good to me.

I believe it. I was banned as an 11 year old for posting the Cubs score in a game thread.

I can be a jerk to put it nicely sometimes but I met my match on there...never have I seen a forum run like that.

But moving on hopefully we get some good news maybe during or shortly after the game on either Rios or Jake.

Beane wants to send a couple of prospects to the Sox for Peavy and have them eat money. Then he will trade Peavy this winter for prospects, thus getting him for almost free or even come out ahead. That is the plan.

That makes too much sense. Why can't the Sox in the past ever pull off deals like that? They have no risk in this scenario. Get Peavy for almost free this year, dump him in the offseason to a big-money team. Pretty brilliant.

Well, Peavy could get hurt again, or underwhelm.

Hopefully he doesn't pull it off.

Funny, I did too. I ran in to the house from the car and barely made it in time. It was like a rocket launching out of my ass

That was after I had Whataburger....knew something bad was going to happen after eating that triple bacon burger.
