Peavy about to be traded according to Bruce Levine ESPN Chicago...could be A's or Braves (Red Sox, Cardinals, O's say it's not them)

Bowden blows. And LeVine hasn't tweeted anything in 2 days.

Russell AND Choice or GTFo in my opinion.

I'd love this, but nothing imminent, Bowden is going off an interview that Peavy is prepped and ready for a trade when it happens. Nothing new or breaking. But still funny he's going around asking the rumored teams if it's them in a trade that isn't going on right now.

For Peavy, Sox targeting tip-top prospects. Interested teams figure price will come down and see Sox taking multiple instead. Need depth.

That's messed up. The price should go up or be met at the deadline. This is why Hahn is waiting for so long, GM's are testing him apparently. Don't back down Rick!

Dan Hayes ‏@DanHayesCSN now

Nothing in @ESPNBruceLevine's story says Jake Peavy trade is imminent. Brought extra bags in case traded. A's still said to be in front.

Damnit, Bowden. Getting me all excited.

Thank you Dan Hayes. He's been the voice of reason during all this speculative bulls***.

Pretty sure it's that. It was speculation.

Yep. Peavy prepping like it's his last day. No s***, when your name is going around in rumor mills and you've been around as long as Peavy has, you prepare every day like it's your last around the deadline.

Jake Peavy Rumors: Sunday

By Edward Creech [July 28, 2013 at 1:52pm CST]

Jake Peavy has cleared his belongings from the White Sox's clubhouse and is prepared to be traded soon, reports ESPNChicago.com's Bruce Levine. "It is sad to think that this is probably my last day in here," Peavy said this morning. "We all realize the reality of the situation and I am prepared with that to happen soon. If I am not traded I would be happy to know the message here is we think we can win it all next year with you a part of it. I am reflecting on my four years here as we speak and getting a little caught up in the emotion. It is a sad day when you think it could be your last. This is a business and this is what we do. I will always cherish the people here and my time in Chicago." Here are the other rumors involving Peavy today:

Teams in the mix for Peavy are probably hoping other the teams would get antsy and move on to plans B/C, thus reducing the leverage.
