Well, now we can get a guy like Jacoby Elsbury for hopefully a similar salary to Rios. More value at a similar price.

For a player we gave up nothing to get. Its PTBNL, so we did get something (we just dont know yet).

 

I really hope the PTBNL is announced on Christmas day so we Sox fans get something good baseball-wise for Christmas.

I now expect the White Sox to make a decent size free agent signing (or to add payroll somehow). They have now officially cleared a heck of a lot of payroll to the point that they could make one or two big signings and still be well under last years payroll.
