ptatc
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 30, 2013 -> 01:41 PM) When Santiago's K/9 ratio puts him in the Top 10 of all MLB for starters? If the White Sox had five cloned Hector Santiagos in their rotation, putting up identical numbers, they wouldn't be in last place. One isolated stat does not make him a good pitcher. Balta1701
QUOTE (ptatc @ Jul 30, 2013 -> 02:53 PM) One isolated stat does not make him a good pitcher. But that one does have a shot at getting him pretty close. You show me a guy with good K/9, I'll ask how many people he walks. He strikes out a lot of people and keeps the walks down and it's almost guaranteed he's a good starter.

LittleHurt05
QUOTE (southside hitman @ Jul 30, 2013 -> 01:49 PM) Still his ERA over three years in SD was under 4. Not bad. I'm not saying Clayton Richard is a frontline starter, that's why you trade him for a guy like Peavy. I guess he was better than I give him credit for, but he would have struggled in the AL in a park like the Cell.
