I added a 5th reason in my edit before I saw the last 2 posts. Took me a few minutes to finish the research which goes hand in hand with my 4th reason. If you honestly believe that anyone was worried about Josh Phegley obtaining Super 2 status and that was the reason he was not called up until a few days ago, well, there's not really much to discuss. He is not a guy we should be playing 8 out of 10 games right now. Take it easy on him at lest for this year, let him build up strength with time. 5 or 6 out of 10. I get it that Phegley has battled health problems since being drafted. Nevertheless, the fact is, they have to know if he can stand up to playing 5 or 6 time per week at the major league level if they want to seriously consider him as a potential starter in 2014. They should just assume he can't for now. Even if he takes over the position with the bat, you still go into next season worrying a ton about his long term health and conditioning.
