Say what you want about John Danks with the contract and everything, but coming back from shoulder surgery. He has looked like the front end of the rotation John Danks we all thought of these last 5 starts. He has pitched real well this year in my opinion.

Contract aside, I'm very happy to go into next year with Sale, RHP, Danks, Quintana, and Santiago. Hopefully we trade Peavy.

I really wonder if they're willing to go with a 4 lefty rotation for a full year. I might well do it, but I wonder if they're unconventional enough to throw that out there.

He's right though. This is the perfect opportunity to bottom out.

The opportunity to move up a few spots in the draft order isn't worth having big leaguers play badly or removing all the good big leaguers from the team.

I think they know the splits well enough that two of the lefties dominate righties and struggle against lefties; therefore, not so unconventional

I think it can work. Why not? The pitching staff has been great this year as it ranks 3rd in the AL in ERA.

Nice start by Danks, I don't understand certain sox fans thinking when they want to get rid of him and his contract, If he is healthy i think we will see a couple more 3 and 4WAR seasons before its all said and done.

I still can't tell if Reed's quote at the end means he thinks baseball means more in Boston than it does for the White Sox

I think he's just referencing the fact that Thorty is now in the playoff/ring hunt. I have a feeling, as a pre-arbitration player, he can see how important White Sox games are :D

Jesus Christ

Kepp batting 3rd has to be in order to showcase him, but my God that is one awful lineup filled with mediocrity and crap if I've ever seen one, double-header or not...

It's a bad split-squad lineup

I think he's just talking about the playoff implications, but baseball does mean more in Boston than on the south side.
