Comcast on Yahoo sports reported Rios upset with Ventura for taking him out of last night's game. "Ventura should have spoken to me privately."

I'm surprised there's not more outrage. The guy does make a decent salary but hey, he's not willing to give above average effort. Nice.

His lack of hustle blatantly cost the Sox a 3-2 lead in the first game after the all-star break, which is kind of a symbolic night - new start to the second half, etc. At least I now have a least favorite White Sox player of all time. Alex Rios tops my list forever.

Luckily, I think the scouts can see that Peavy is actually pitching pretty well.

He's not pitching very well. Missing his spots like crazy with his fastball and not getting a lot of swing and misses. Seems he was running on adrenaline in the first.

Well, let's say that he only deserves one of those runs - the one that left the ballpark. He's been imprecise, but he's pitching like he's healthy and they aren't hitting him all that hard.

The stuff is good, control is scary. Only his second time pitching since the injury though, gotta imagine his next start will be better.

Oh for sure his command will get better. Sadly, he really only has a few starts to showcase his stuff for the scouts.

I think the velocity readings are far and away the most important thing for him to show today. Once his health is established, he's a known entity.

It's pretty obvious Sox are going to wind up with the No. 1 or 2 draft pick by the time this carnage of a season is over. So many of you will be very very happy at that. I won't even pay attention til the draftee is ready for the bigs. Don't care about baseball draft.

Yes I care about the result of last night's game, fathom. I care greatly. I didn't watch 5 innings hoping we'd lose.

I'd just assume win. People come to the ballpark trying to make a positive memory. It isn't fun watching Brent Morel kick the ball around
