Jake
Knowing what I know (which means, Peavy didn't ask me personally to go back out there) I wouldn't have sent him out. Nonetheless, it is by far the least big deal of all time
Buehrle>Wood
QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 08:38 PM) He probably doesnt...but in the end he may not be managing this team beyond this year. Let's hope so. Edited July 25, 2013 by Buehrle>Wood

Jake
QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 03:41 PM) He's in the JR loyalty belt. Why haven't the fire Manto conversations came about yet? Do you think our poor hitting is his fault?
Balta1701
QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 04:41 PM) He's in the JR loyalty belt. Why haven't the fire Manto conversations came about yet? People can believe that this team isn't talented enough, and there are several guys showing positive signs this year, including a very important Gordon Beckham, as well as Rios. I don't think the development of Viciedo or Flowers will put his job in jeopardy...yet.

Knackattack
I dunno if it's just me but it seems like the past week Dayan has had tremendously better at bats - not just that he is getting more hits, but he is seeing way more pitches and not swinging at everything they throw. He's even taken a few walks I think
Buehrle>Wood
QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 08:41 PM) He's in the JR loyalty belt. Why haven't the fire Manto conversations came about yet? Manto doesn't have a lot to work with but his three most important projects have all been so much better under him than the horrible horrible Walker. That said I dont think anyone will care if he goes.

Jake
It would be lol-worthy if injuries cause this Detroit team to miss the playoffs

Once Walker got fired, I promised I wouldn't care about hitting coaches anymore. The Sox problems all start with the Chairman, and they trickle down. I'm not wishing for Reinsdorf to die, but it would be nice if he stepped aside.

CaliSoxFanViaSWside
QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 01:38 PM) I hope the scouts don't think he's that injury prone, because that would be a ridiculous reason to get hurt. "threw 7 too many pitches" "stood on mound 5 minutes too long" Not only arm injuries can happen you know. Line drives hitting you. Fielding plays, a satelite falling from the sky whatever . With so much at stake regarding the future of the franchise, its nuts to put that all on the line.

Jake
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 03:44 PM) why? Because it is always nice to see a team's free-spending ways be rendered ineffective. Every year, their window get closer and closer to being shut.
JoshPR
QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 04:29 PM) The White Sox do not think 100 pitches is a lot. This isn't news Ahhh and we complained about Jerry Manuel's 100 pitch limit....
Baron
In other news you can basically cross the Diamondbacks off the list for Peavy...not really a surprise.
