The White Sox do not think 100 pitches is a lot. This isn't news

Usually they still seem to think 110+ is getting there though, at least enough that they don't send a guy out to warm up again.

Has he actually shown any sign of learning a lesson?

I did find it funny he complained about the distraction of the trade deadline. Considering the same guys played so stupid all season, it's hard to take that excuse seriously.

Take a breath and ask yourself, does that one AB do anything to damage Peavy's trade value?

That is not even close to being the point. Peavy gets hurt then what ? Already missing out on Crain . You'd be looking at a disaster of major proportions.

He didn't get hurt. Nothing happened

It wasn't a situation like where Buehrle is going to be a free agent at the end of the year and he wants to get the standing ovation one last time. Again, this risk of him getting injured was far too great there. The fact he gave up a homer is secondary to the decision.

And he pitched like s*** when it mattered in that one good season. End of last year, he had two bad starts vs. DET, and in the third one he couldn't even finish the sixth inning. Needed a big win against the Angels, and he got rocked. Kinda similar to his limited postseason career in San Diego.

But god forbid you say something bad about Jake Peavy the competitor. I love having him on the Sox, but I can't stand his apology society that says he does nothing wrong.

Actually, no.

The question was "what he Jake Peavy done to earn a standing ovation."

I hope the scouts don't think he's that injury prone, because that would be a ridiculous reason to get hurt. "threw 7 too many pitches" "stood on mound 5 minutes too long"
