Looks like Boston has some interest in Lindstrom.

I'd love to get Betts and/or Johnson for Matt like this article suggests.

Betts looks like a fun prospect to follow. 1. His names Mookie and 2. He can take a walk.

Johnson was a 2 way player at Florida and he's pitching really well right now in A ball(opponents hitting under .200 against him).

I think it had more to do with Brantley (lefty) pinch hitting, Bourn (lefty) on deck, Swisher in the hole (switch), Kipnis (lefty) after that and Cabrera (switch) after that.

Okay, well last night, Nate Jones, who has pitched once in the last week and is clearly our 2nd to best reliever. doesn't come out to take the 8th inning. INstead, Ventura uses Lindstrom. What's the explanation for that?

Now it could be Ventura being Ventura. But that decision seems so dense, that it might suggest a showcase (that didn't work).

Diamondbacks, Tigers working the reliever market hard

Tigers going after lefty reliever, D'backs likely getting relievers back for Ian Kennedy in a deal with Padres

I thought that said "Lindstrom for Owings+" and was like "SIGN ME UP!"

Would you say no to Reed for Owings+?

I wouldn't. I'd trust Jones or Webb as the closer next year. If the offense takes off and neither are successful then they can look to add a closer in 2015.

If your trading Reed, you better get a better prospect than Owings. Owings looks like a nice prospect and all but he is flawed (inflated numbers this season, poor K:BB, can he stick at SS?). I'm not understanding why everyone is infatuated with him

Oh idk, maybe because he's batting .346 in AAA and is showing plus power for the SS position. Scouting reports say he can be solid at SS. He's a top 100 prospect, that's kinda more than what I'd expect for an above average, not great, closer.

Plate discipline is something I believe a hitter can work on more as they get older. We're seeing a little bit of that with Dayan this year.
