Hawkins 0-4, 2 k's. Buddy Bell thinks his 18 HR, 50+ RBI are just fine though.

Beck 6 shutout innings, 4 ks

It's really sad that at the end of the year Semien will have more walks than Hawkins has hits. Micah will probably have more hits at W-S than Hawkins, too.

But hey, he's hittin' them dingers (and is on pace to challenge the record for the worst K/AB ratio in minor league history https://www.baseballamerica.com/blog/prospe...y-minor-league/

Just promote Courtney to the Sox to see if he can strike out every at bat.

That's just beautiful.

Sanchez 3-5, triple, walk

One of the best games of his season. I still have some hope for him. He's just not a very high ceiling guy.

I would like to see Semien in Charlotte soon though. No rush for the Majors, but I want to see him move up before the season ends.

Euclides Leyer made his first relief appearance tonight for Kanny. I wonder who steps into the rotation. Maybe Goldberg with the way he's been pitching? You'd think they might want to keep his innings down though.

Who was the last Sox prospect to finish with more walks than k's? Jeremy Reed almost a decade ago?

As for reed and bringing about those negative feelings; Reed did have a 10.3BB% to go along with a 6.7K% but his BABIP was .423 now obviously he batted .409 that season and that isn't sustainable, but when we look at Marcus he has a BABIP of .315 after this game hes .002 points below his career average and .007 below his career high and he has a 17.1BB% and 13.5K%

Carlos Sanchez was pretty close in one of his stops last year if I remember correctly.

Sanchez finished AA last year with 10BB & 22k and didn't have his BB% overtake his K% at any of the stops last year.
