southsider2k5
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 29, 2013 -> 03:27 PM) They do it all the time. They have weekly deals on their website. Not to mention they already cut a ton of ticket prices, but especially the Sunday cuts. Being able to take a family of 4 to a game for $30 including parking is about what it would cost for me to take the family to somewhere like the Gary Railcats or South Bend Sliverhawks. LittleHurt05
As an apology for the lockout, we got $100 in vouchers from the Blackhawks, able to be spent on merchandise or concessions.

jasonxctf
I think my original intent got lost in the posting. My thought was... if a White Sox player did something, similar to Ryan Braun, do you think the Sox would "make it up" to the fans by providing some sort of refund/rebate/credit? I wasn't saying, will the Sox run promotions... this to me, isnt a promotion. The Brewers are averaging 31,000+ per night at their games. They aren't hurting to put Fans in the Seats like the Sox are.

Exactly. This has more to do with a rejuvenated franchise having their worst season in 10 years than it does Ryan Braun's cheating.
justBLAZE
White Sox attendance down 5.5% from this point last year.
cabiness42
Exactly. This has more to do with a rejuvenated franchise having their worst season in 10 years than it does Ryan Braun's cheating. I think it has quite a bit to do with Braun, because he is the team's biggest star and you could argue that he is a big reason for the season tickets and other pre-sale tickets for the rest of the season. It's not just a way to sell more tickets, but to "make it up" to the people who already bought tickets that they now won't get to see Braun. Also, in encourages people who already have tickets to come to the game and pay for parking and other stuff rather than flood the secondary market with cheap tickets.
