fathom
http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?s...mp;ymd=20130806 Leadoff double for Semien. I saw on twitter where Semien was voted as the best defensive 2B in the Southern League.

Jerksticks
Any chance the infield is Semien Alexei and Bacon next year? Bacon back to third? Semien at third? Seems far-fetched and also powerless.

Semien at third? Seems far-fetched and also powerless. It's a possibility. Given what the Sox have gotten out of third so far this year, Semien could be an upgrade across the board. Balta1701
I really wish people would just accept that they're not moving Beckham again.
Dunt
Daniel Webb is completely crushing over his last 10 games, between him, Petrivka, Jomes, and Reed, I'm liking the bullpen for next season.

I'd rather move Beckham, let one of the many prospects we have fill his role and find a real SS. I want a real glove at SS. It's beyond important for a team that's going to be driven by pitching. Semien and Sanchez have both played all three skill infield positions in the last year or two, probably by design for exactly this potential scenario. Better to have Semien play 3rd (if Alexei and Beckham are still on the team), then to move one of those guys, IMO.

ron883
Semien is obviously more valuable at 2b or SS, but not until we get a real 3rd baseman. I'm excited about his potential. He seems like a 5 tool player that slipped by the scouts...
