That's awesome! Hopefully this time next week, they'll be even higher. , Bronx Bombers!

clujer420
The funny thing is that our RPI rating is terrible because we have lost to so many bad teams. Yes, you're correct. I don't know much about RPI other than what it stands for (Relative Power Index), and it takes into account how teams fare against the good (and bad) teams. And the Sox were very lowly ranked the last time I checked. I believe we were 17th, with a .492 total, whatever that means. But, at the same time, KC has still given up more runs than they have scored, and Minnesota is even in that category, so you could look at a number of statistics and it would pretty much make you scratch your head when it comes to the AL Central. Even if we win it all the papers will say it was an abberation and that the Yank-mees will win next year for sure.

Elcaballo45
Personally, i've hated the ranking system that cbs uses, particularly with players.... they have carlos ranked 19th among LEFT FIELDERS! I'd put him in the top 15 of all fielders in the majors at this point... So, i know something is jacked up with their rankings when that happens... Go SoX + #45! SpringfieldFan
The ESPN.com rankings also have the Sox up to #7. What is interesting is the blurb about them saying that they have a hunch that when the dust clears, they will still be playing in October. rafacosta
The White Sox became the first American League Central team to win a game at Yankee Stadium, following 10 straight losses. The Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals both entered The Bronx in first place, only to get swept. We are impressive, huh?
