De Aza with an absolute BOMB!!!

So dynamic in that leadoff spot......Just only if he could walk a bit more & shore up the baserunning.

That's why De Aza sticks for next year and possibly a few after that. Still young.

And Reed with a 1-2-3 and struck out Mauer.

Sox Win!

He will be 30 next year. Not young, but controlled, since injuries delayed him immensely and allowed for us to grab him.

Not a lot of mileage on him though. Just for discussion, if the Sox were to sign Choo or Ellsbury. De Aza would be solid in the middle of the order.

Choo/Ellbury

Beckham

Ramirez

Dunn

Garcia or Konerko/Free Agent/Wikins

De Aza

Garcia or Konerko/Free Agent/Wilkins

Keppinger/Gillespie

Phegley

Not sold on your line-up but I think he would make for a terrific LF and 2nd hitter....

I want McCann and someone good. Morales..or gasp Ellsbury if we have the money. A line-up with those two added would be decent enough to compete next year.

Somewhere in Kansas there's a really happy guy named Greg. :D

I did get to watch some of this at work on mlb.com. Really loved seeing Tank go deep and DeAza. Like the old days with multi home runs. Also loved seeing Garcia rope a hit. And seeing Reed do his thing again.
