QuickJones81
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 20, 2013 -> 09:00 PM) Any reason to get excited about A. Lopez? He has quietly put up some pretty good numbers. Definitely on the radar for now.

witesoxfan
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 20, 2013 -> 09:00 PM) Any reason to get excited about A. Lopez? Looks like they have him on the Nate Jones path as of now. 90 K's in 59 innings in relief. Mid 90s 4 seam with a slider, change, and developing 2-seam/sinker. Chicago went to the college reliever well twice more when they nabbed Adam Lopez and Zach Toney. Lopez has a pro body and is a hard thrower. He’s also a Tommy John surgery survivor who has had a fairly typical return from injury. In other words, his velocity is coming back nicely while his command still has a ways to go. It is still easy to appreciate the pick: getting guys who have hit the mid-90s in round 21 is almost always worth a shot, injury history be damned. http://baseballdraftreport.com/2012/09/06/...b-draft-review/ http://network.yardbarker.com/all_sports/a...erview/13594766
