So, I have an impressive collection of non-productive RB's in one of my leagues. I have to bench at least one of them (my only real flex option at WR is Michael Floyd).

Ray Rice vs MIA

Lamar Miller vs BAL

Eddie Lacy vs DET

David Wilson vs PHI

The season so far would suggest Wilson is the guy to sit, but with a favorable matchup and Scott gone, he might finally produce. I'm kind of thinking Miller because his lack of touches despite decent production the last few weeks scares me.

My Jones for Gonzalez trade was vetoed by the league. I've never seen that happen before except in a league where a guy was quitting and trading his guys for nothing to his friends

It's an unfair trade...

If Gonzalez didn't have that monster game last week, it'd be an awful trade.

Easy for you to say! :D

I honestly don't know what normal protocol is for vetoing trades as I've never seen it happen outside of the obvious circumstance pointed out earlier

That's bulls***. League votes for trade vetoing is garbage.

If there's no collusion, and both owners want the trade, it needs to go through. Period. Whether or not the trade is equal value in the eyes of other owners is irrelevant.

So if I offer Adrian Peterson for DeAngelo Williams because I really really like DeAngelo Williams, the trade should go through?

Collusion or no collusion, making lopsided trades makes the league less competitive.

While we're talking vetos...I'm petitioning against this one

Jason Snelling and Matt Shaub for Doug Martin and Brandon Myers.

The guy getting Martin is in first place, other guy is 2nd to last....Am I wrong in thinking this is an awful trade? I know Martin hasn't been the world beater like expected but he's still on pace for 1500 yards. That and Jason Snelling is the Falcons 3rd string RB and Shaub might not even make it through the season as the starter.

Who do I start at flex? Rashad Jennings, Willis McGahee, or Fred Jackson? Jackson has the toughest matchup, McGahee has been garbage, and Jennings is a wildcard. Right now I'm leaning towards the wildcard.

I think I would still go Jackson. Best player of the bunch.

Sigh, went with Jennings...Why'd I even ask.

Yeah, that should be vetoed...

Martin's still a top 10 RB at the least. Snelling's barely worth a flex play on a bad team and Schaub is a QB2.

Sure, how is that any different than someone having a terrible draft?

You go get him and play him every week. He is unowned in half the leagues I play in. He is bye week filler only.

He is owned in every league I play in. Despite you clearly not being able to see it, there is a difference in being a weekly starter and being un-ownable as you previously suggested. He is a strong WR3 and one with high upside in PPR leagues. I still prefer Shorts to Blackmon, but he should be owned in all but the shallowest of leagues

I hate when leagues do that. It's compete bulls***. So you don't think it was fair? So what. It wasn't your team. As long as both managers made the trade in good faith and there was no worry about any collusion or anything else unfair, the trade should be allowed to proceed. I had a trade vetoed last year in a league of mine and it really pissed me off. Thankfully, my two big money leagues have strong veto processes now that makes it tough for a trade to be disallowed.

I'd give Wilson one more chance. If he can't get it done vs Philly though, well I'd be pretty much done with him

Of course it should be allowed.

Someone in one of my leagues picked Jay Cutler with his first round pick. (He's a huge Bears fan and usually finishes bottom half of our league). Should we have vetoed his draft pick because it was unbelievably stupid?

I would let it go through, and then I wouldn't ask you back to play the following year.

Of course, we're talking about the 58 o-rank player for the 25 o-rank player one being in a much thinner position than the other. Not nearly as obviously bad. Seems like the point of having great players is that you can afford to overpay for players you need

No, but he should be kicked out of the league. It ruins it for everyone else.
