CHICAGO – A White Sox minor league pitcher was among two players suspended 50 games on Friday for violation of the drug prevention and treatment program, Major League Baseball announced.

Pedro Rodriguez, a member of the White Sox’s Dominican Summer League team, tested positive for “metabolites of Stanozolol,” according to an MLB release. Los Angeles Angels minor league pitcher Angel Montilla, also in the Dominican Summer League, tested positive for a different substance.

Both suspensions begin immediately.
