BaseballNick
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 2, 2013 -> 02:45 PM) May with a walkoff homer I loved his answer the other day when he was asked if power was going to be a part of his game. He replied that he's just going to run into a few if he's making solid contact, but he knows his job is to get on base and be a table setter. I think that was the perfect answer for a leadoff hitter to give to that question. Clearly, the kid has power, but all indications are that he knows his job and that he's not going to fall in love with hitting the ball over the fence. GGajewski18
I'm going to be real excited about the Dash line up next year. May, Anderson, Barnum, Hawkins and maybe DeMichele. Maybe he goes to AA? Edited September 2, 2013 by SoxPride18
GGajewski18
DeMichele 1-5 3 K's Hawkins 1-2 with 2 BBs Wendelken 2 innings, 4 hits, 1 ER and 2 Ks May 2-4 with a HR and 2 RBIs Anderson and Barnum both 0-4 Micah Johnson 1-4 Walker and THompson both 0-4 Winiarski another shutout inning. 10 innings with 15 Ks so far with AA Semein 1-3 with 2B, R Wilkins 2-4 with 2B, RBI Sanchez 2-3 with RBI Heath with a good year, he could get a call up since he's already on the 40 man. Cerbaho-WG
Good for Hawkins for closing out the year strong. Probably his best game of the year.
flavum
QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Sep 2, 2013 -> 05:07 PM) Good for Hawkins for closing out the year strong. Probably his best game of the year. Like getting a birdie on the 18th hole, and you still shot 106.

winninguglyin83
how did Goldberg finish? Unlikely to be a factor next season but I could see him in the pen in 2015 when the team will be better.
Jake
QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Sep 2, 2013 -> 09:11 PM) how did Goldberg finish? Unlikely to be a factor next season but I could see him in the pen in 2015 when the team will be better. I'm interested in whether the Sox want to have him try his hand at starting or keep riding him where he's been hot
NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 2, 2013 -> 09:22 PM) I'm interested in whether the Sox want to have him try his hand at starting or keep riding him where he's been hot Goldberg is relatively refined, so I don't think they go the Petricka/Jones route with him. More likely to me is he's a fast mover next year, moves multiple levels if he is getting guys out.
