Rowand44
QUOTE (danman31 @ Nov 12, 2013 -> 10:04 PM) I agree completely. Harrison was getting so much hype and he really wasn't impressive. Neither Harrison was. SIU had some good ball movement and a couple nice players, just not enough horses. I'm not overly thrilled with this Mizzou team. I like the freshmen and Clarkson is a star, but there are issues for sure. It's funny, I was thinking the opposite. We have a few good guards, Desmar Jackson could be a top 20 scorer in the country. We have no size and no depth though. And I agree, much more impressed by Duke-KU than MSU-UK. Btw, Jabari's shot sounds different when it goes in. farmteam
What an awful performance by IU tonight. There's gonna be some frustrating games with such a young team. It was awesome to see Troy Williams get hot for a brief stretch in the second half there, he could be a real good one. Between MSU-Kentucky, VCU-Virginia and Kansas-Duke there have been some fantastic games tonight.
Rowand44
This game is awesome and awful at the same time. These fouls are killing me.
danman31
I hate to say it, but Kansas is pretty loaded. By far the most impressive team tonight. Parker could have won it for Duke, but he made some selfish and poor decisions in key spots. Coach K will be good for him. If he went to Kentucky, he would have left the same player he entered college as.
IlliniKrush
Robert @ALionEye There's not much more precious in life than watching IU fans dance in celebration of... LIU-Brooklyn missing a last second shot for the win.

He_Gawn
YUCK Indiana. Indiana's going to have some games like that early on, as their shooting just isn't there and the inexperience still shines through. IU could really, really use Blackmon and Johnson right now. The freshman class is just so stacked... Any other year Noah Vonleh is a lottery pick, but Indiana may just luck out with so many studs out there. Would be awesome if he stayed two years. Heads22
QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 12, 2013 -> 06:29 PM) Curious how long McGary is being held out. LaVert and GR3 look great so far though. Hope Mitch is back for Duke game though. Sunday could be interesting. Ejim may possibly be back for Iowa State. Hilton's going to be rocking. Michigan and Iowa State could be playing for all of the buckets.

RockRaines
Parker was head and shoulders the best player I saw last night. I wouldnt pick anyone other than him as #1 in the NBA draft.
bmags
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 13, 2013 -> 04:22 PM) Parker was head and shoulders the best player I saw last night. I wouldnt pick anyone other than him as #1 in the NBA draft. Obviously not a controversial opinion here, but I think the Chicago Public League probably better prepared him for an immediate transition. That said, Wiggins recovered, and the season is so early. Man, so annoying that Kansas team. I was confused why they were #5 to start off the year. They are gonna be #1 soon and for a while. Stupid kansas. Meanwhile Mizzou...our defense was better, but still over pursues and leaves themselves susceptible to wide open corner 3s. We play 4 on 5 on offense because our only C is terrible on offense, great rebounder though. I think ceiling is a ten seed, but SEC might be bad enough that we are higher. Jenksismyhero
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 13, 2013 -> 09:22 AM) Parker was head and shoulders the best player I saw last night. I wouldnt pick anyone other than him as #1 in the NBA draft. Depends on what your need is. Randle is going to be a banger. Parker is going to be a Rudy Gay type player. Wiggins I think has the biggest upside. He's the most athletic and if he gains another 30 lbs he's going to be Lebron like.
Buehrle>Wood
I still don't trust KU's supporting cast. When teams figure out it's best not to triple team Wiggins because he's good, but not that good, I expect them to struggle. I think MSU is top dog for now and UL won't be far behind. I am probably homerish on Parker, but he has potential to be a really good facilitator. He's very Rudy Gay in body type but I think his ceiling is higher with his passing skills. Anyways I think Jabari is going to be the best of the bunch this year but I like Wiggins the most in the NBA.

Parker could have if it wasnt for the fouls. Last night's games were ruined by the increased number of fouls. OSU took almost 60 foul shots. Jenksismyhero
Seth Davis was on Mully and Hanley this morning and made it pretty clear that this isn't going to change come conference time. If refs have to call 60 fouls a game, they'll do it. That's the order they've been given. I can't imagine how unwatchable some of the big ten games will be. Free throw ability is going to be a key differentiator in those contests. You could tell players were tentative from the outset, OU apparently had no idea and just kept fouling and fouling. OSU was in the bonus before OU scored a single point. Thats ridiculous.

Especially considering how much they have let go in Big 10 games over the years. If you were playing at home, you needed a paramedic to attend to an opposing player to get whistled for a foul. bmags
Felt same about SEC compared to Big 12. The bad teams just mauled you. I do think it's worth it. Sometimes it was just ridiculous.
