Elcaballo45 Posted August 27, 2003 Share Posted August 27, 2003 Hey, did anyone hear the conversation between Hawk and DJ earlier in the game b4 we started scoring like 7 dirty donkeys, that they were saying that some sports reporter said that Carlos should be in the DH spot...and Hawk was pissed because he was saying that this reporter hadnt watched a baseball game in 2 years... anyone else catch that.. or who the reporter was?? Molto Posted August 27, 2003 Share Posted August 27, 2003 I know Carol Slezak, in her column in which she retracted her earlier knocking of the Sox, said that one prob the Sox have is the small amount of two-way players, saying Frank Thomas, Jose Valentin and Carlos Lee were all DH-like players, or something of the sort. it wasn't ripping Lee completely, but I was a pretty upset to read that. thing is, her belief is the norm amongst many, even Sox fans, so Hawk and DJ really shouldn't be upset at her, but the majority who still think Lee is a liability in left. no matter how good Lee becomes on defense, he will always been regarded as a bad defensive player for some reason. he just made a few ugly plays in his career and it appears as though they will always stick with him.
