Chisoxfn
Sounds like a cool move by the Sox. I think they should do all they can to ensure the players get to play in front of a packed house EVERY Night. And hopefully the players play will help ensure that. Chisoxfn
Tony, on the last game of the season you should email Hawk your list. Also, sorry I didn't get to your PM until now, but is the problem fixed?

DBAHO
Yeah let's hope the Sox get a full house at home every night cos they obviously play well in front of a big noisy home crowd.
southsider2k5
Kick ass, thanks for the info. Hopefully that means they will do it again!
Steff
I like it to. And you know there making more money like that because even though the tickets are half price, the food and parking is still the same, and your getting all those people coming because of the half price. I think its good for the fans, and the team. And the concessions and parking people still have to be paid...
mreye
I believe the Sox are paid on contratct from concessions. I don't think they make more because they sell more. The concessions company is who makes more. I could be wrong, but I believe that's how it is. And with more fans this year, the Sox will be able to require more money from the concessions company for next year, unless it's a multi-year contract. Queen Prawn
Ok guys and gals, I am taking my mom (for her birthday - I wonder if I get to be favorite child for a few days cuz of this ) to the game on the 2nd (no way I can get to the park by 6PM on the 3rd) and I have a question about this. In the ad that I got in my email about this, it says something about being able to be emailed your tickets and then you print them out. How does this work? Do I have to take that to the ticket window or just go directly to the gate?
Controlled Chaos
Just as an FYI.... If you go on Tuesday and plan on sitting upper tank. It's cheaper to just buy the half price tickets at the park. The web deal is $5.00 upper deck,, but with a 2.50 convenience charge on each ticket. That's $7.50 a pop. Regular prices are 14 and if ya bring in pepsi product upper deck are $7.00. I think we'll just buy them at the gate and go to Bullpen bar!! Lets get us a win Tuesday!! I have often wondered why they call it a convenience charge when often ticketmaster is anything but a convenience?

chosk8
Thanks glad to be here!!!!!! Controlled chaos, intersesting name. Any particular reason you chose it? Reason I ask is that in college, one of my teammates' definition of hitting was... Hitting - controlled chaos with emphasis on punishing the baseball. I've never forgotten that. Maybe it's a commonly used definition and I had never heard it. Anyway, welcome aboard.
