They are all but guaranteed a top 5 pick and being 2 1/2 ahead of the Cubs for the 3 spot and 4 ahead of the Twins puts them in a good position to get the #3 pick regardless. I admonished her last year for still cheering on the Indians in the last few weeks to beat us, even though they were playing for nothing and we needed the wins badly. Just to be exact, the Sox Magic Numbers are: Cubs - 4 Twins - 3 Mariners-1 3-3 for the Sox, with the Cubs going 1-4 gets the Sox the 3rd pick.
