Range Rover Meets Motorcyles

Anyone been reading this story?

Basically hundreds of bikers surround a Range Rover with a guy, his wife and his 2 year old in it in NYC. The video looks to me like a biker gets in front of the RR and purposefully brake checks, causing the RR to hit it. The hundreds of bikers stop all traffic and allegedly open up the car door (can't see that in the video). The driver of the RR speeds off, hitting a couple of motorcyclists in the process, seriously injuring one to the point that he might be paralyzed and is in a coma. The motorcycle gang then chases the RR for a half hour (RR guys calls the cops by the way...they don't help), eventually catch up to him in traffic, bust up the car and beat the s*** out of him. Luckily they found the asshole responsible for the original brake check that started this whole thing. Not sure if they've arrested the guy(s) that beat up the driver.

Pretty tough to blame the RR driver here. I think if I were surrounded by a gang of motorcyclists like that, with them trying (or succeeding) in opening up my door, I'd speed away too.

He had his whole family in the car with him. I would have done the same thing. This biker gang is a bunch of f***ing idiots.

Yeah, I would have driven right through them, what a bunch of assholes. In this case, the injured people got what was coming to them if they were involved in trying to cause an accident and then open a car door.

Yeah, this is a tough one. Obviously the original biker is at fault, though I can imagine that many of the other bikers could have reasonably misinterpreted the situation. Bikers understandably don't take getting hit with cars lightly. Now, that is not to say we should settle our beef by mercilessly beating people, either. A classic "violence begets violence" story here

Apparently this group had been terrorizing people through the area all day, riding on sidewalks, through red lights etc. They were trying to slow down this car to "take over" the highway, but then they tried to open his door and he took off. They slashed his tires etc to get him to stop then beat him in front of his family.
