I don't think they're quite ready to give up on Rodriguez yet.

They have a huge need for relievers coming into 2014, especially lefties and they're not going to pay for them on the FA market.

If they aren't "punting" on 2014 like we heard from our resident insider then I don't see why they wouldn't at least try to sign a left handed set up.

Not that any of those three would be missed, but why is Mitchell and Heath still be on the 40? I know Mitchell is young, but the White Sox would be better off putting a blind fold on and picking someone off this board at random, and still get better results over the corse of the season than they would with Mitchell.

Boone Logan didn't leave the Sox on the greatest of terms.

As long as KW's still around, don't see him coming back...any more likely than Jon Rauch coming back.

What's the Boone Logan story?

Is the Rauch story more than the time KW "called him out" for leaving early?(which I don't think should be held against either)

You don't think leaving the stadium early should be held against Rauch? Really?

I mean now, nearly 10 years later. I'm sure he was disciplined at the time and if Hahn and company think he'd help the team now then I'd hope the incident doesn't factor into the decision.

There wasn't really a specific incident with Logan.

It was more about maturity (well, that's expected when you pluck a kid from A ball and stick him in the big league team, that happens about once a decade, usually with pitchers/relievers)....that they didn't like his attitude/cockiness, he wasn't getting along well with the coaching staff and was resistant to make adjustments or listen to instruction, etc.

Sort of the same issues the Sox had with Nick Swisher, basically.

Brian Omogrosso has elected free agency.

The 29-year-old right-hander appeared in just 12 games for the White Sox in 2013, turning in a disappointing 9.37 ERA, 2.27 WHIP and 16/9 K/BB ratio before succumbing to an elbow injury. He'll look to latch on elsewhere and compete for a bullpen spot in 2014.

Really glad I don't have to see him pitch in a Sox uniform anymore

As a righty at his age, with his level of "success" he'll be lucky to get a minor league deal that includes a spring training invite.

Oh you're talking about bringing him in for 2014.....why? He's not a very good pitcher. I mean, right now, for righties out of the pen, the Sox have Reed, Jones, Webb, Petricka, and Lindstrom (assuming the option is picked up, and I believe it will be). Why do you want or need anyone else?
