Swingandalongonetoleft
Ortiz with 2 HR and now TB have the opportunity to get swept out of the season at the Trop. I may have missed it- was there ever an official explanation from MLB as to why someone isn't standing at home plate with an empty cup waiting for him to round the bases after annihilating yet another baseball? Then at age 37 to hit 30hr and knock in over 100 while batting .300...

I hate how baseball crucifies certain players for PED use, yet turns a blind eye to others. It was like the Nelson Cruz vs Marlon Byrd reactions this week. One was finally rewarded for his hard work with a playoff berth, the other was a drug using asshole. What?

I'm starting to not like the Rays. But I do admire Longoria's "clutchness." I hope someone will step up and prove he's not clutch, haha. Swingandalongonetoleft
Booing the pick-off attempt probably ranks highly when it comes to stupid things people do at baseball games.

caulfield12
Myers seems to not be ready for prime time....or he's just not 100% healthy. Dave Wills bemoaning the late game walks from the complementary pieces (like McGee) in the Red Sox bullpen. Everyone's arguing that Berry was out there. Zobrist and Longoria are going nuts. Kyyle23
Wil Myers just left the game after an awkward swing, looked like a cramp or tweaked knee. And the second base ump just blew a call big time at second in Boston's favor
caulfield12
More arguments for replay. Just handed the game to the Red Sox, basically. Doubt that call EVER goes against Boston in such a life-and-death situation (they only let balls go through their legs like Gaffe-anino). LittleHurt05
Myers had cramping in both legs. Joyce replaces him in RF, Maddon gives up the DH, pitcher spot now fourth in the lineup

zenryan
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Oct 7, 2013 -> 11:18 PM) I missed the play you are referring to. Top of 8, game tied at 3 and Ortiz leads off inning with a walk. Pinch runner goes to steal second, he slides into Zobrist and gets tagged out before getting his hand to the bag. Ump calls him safe. Replays all show he was conclusively out. He doesnt end up scoring but it helped flip the line up come the 9th.
Swingandalongonetoleft
I hate having to cheer against Peavy. Joe Maddon getting a little trigger-happy... Buehrle>Wood
Any reason they took out Hellickson other than he's not good?
Swingandalongonetoleft
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 07:32 PM) Any reason they took out Hellickson other than he's not good? It looks as if he's going for the bullpen game that you typically see when a starter is scratched or leaves early due to injury and/or getting shelled. Not sure I'd be too opposed if I were a Rays fan.
