Buehrle>Wood
QUOTE (dayan024 @ Nov 5, 2013 -> 11:55 PM) David Kaplan @thekapman 2h Great show today on @SportsTalkCHI as @cgrand14 joins the panel. Is he interested in the White Sox? Plus, a whole lot of #Bears talk!! I'm watching. Nothing groundmoving in terms of information. I will say he is perhaps the most wellspoken MLBer I have seen. Gives a great interview. Can see why so many people like him.

CaliSoxFanViaSWside
QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Nov 5, 2013 -> 04:42 PM) It makes me think KW is running the team. Of course he's interested IF the Sox pay him more than the $14.1 M QO which would be pretty silly.

caulfield12
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 6, 2013 -> 09:15 AM) Didn't know he was still playing Well, I guess we can debate "ever seen" then, haha. If the poster was say, 55 years old, just depends on the context.

GreenSox
QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Nov 5, 2013 -> 07:42 PM) It makes me think KW is running the team. That's his M.O. - low OBP, declining veterans.

Jose Abreu
Has Granderson accepted the QO yet? Everyone's been saying that it's over for us, but I haven't heard an official word yet.
lasttriptotulsa
QUOTE (ChiSoxFan05 @ Nov 6, 2013 -> 10:42 PM) Has Granderson accepted the QO yet? Everyone's been saying that it's over for us, but I haven't heard an official word yet. No and he probably won't accept it. The reason it's probably over for the Sox is they would have to give up their 2nd round draft pick and probably aren't willing to do so for a player of Grandersons caliber. Jose Abreu
I think that from this point forward that we'll have a similar offseason to last year where we signed Keppinger (this year Salty/AJP/Ruiz) and Lindstrom (this year O'Flaherty/Logan). Jose Abreu
And of course, the Peavy signing translated to the Abreu signing.
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (raBBit @ Nov 6, 2013 -> 11:10 PM) So quick to forget your avi there? Well, the comment he was referring to said "from THIS POINT forward". The Abreu signing happened before this point. dayan024
Phil Rogers @philgrogers 2m With @cgrand14 rejecting the Yankees' qualifying offer, he's definitely on White Sox radar. Strong support within baseball ops

Y2Jimmy0
QUOTE (dayan024 @ Nov 11, 2013 -> 05:19 PM) Phil Rogers @philgrogers 2m With @cgrand14 rejecting the Yankees' qualifying offer, he's definitely on White Sox radar. Strong support within baseball ops I just replied and told Phil he's crazy. Rogers has had a hard-on for Grandy for years. My buddy was Curtis Granderson's roommate at UIC. He would be shocked if it happened. Not willing to give up draft selection. Bucket or Rock, are you hearing anything on this?
bmags
Does rejecting the Q.O. mean he thinks he'll get more on market?
dayan024
Chuck Garfien @ChuckGarfien 13s Yes. But they'll have competition. RT @ashton_rotman @ChuckGarfien is Curtis Granderson an actual possibility for White Sox?

elrockinMT
Granderson rejected $14.1M from the Yankees. They might offer more but even if they don't do you really think the Sox will? I don't. Granderson is a no go for the Sox IMO
Y2Jimmy0
QUOTE (Baron @ Nov 11, 2013 -> 05:27 PM) Maybe not over 1 year but more security No team is going to give up a high pick to sign him to a short term deal though. It doesn't make any sense. Some of these guys will end up like Kyle Lohse and Michael Bourn waiting forever to get a deal.
