ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 13, 2013 -> 11:09 PM) Torii Hunter was pretty close to catching Ortiz's grand slam. He also fell into the bullpen afterwards. I'm not a fan of that racist prick, but that was a helluva effort and he nearly snared it.

LittleHurt05
I understand the TV aspect, but how much does it suck for working fans to have LCS games on weekday afternoons?
nickofypres
I'm pulling for Boston all the way. If I didn't live in Tigers' market it probably wouldn't matter, but these brand new life long fans are pretty obnoxious.

caulfield12
Wow...six consecutive strikeouts for Verlander, after a tongue-in-cheek "rough start." Comparisons to 1968. "We're not watching the Marlins...the Twins, the White Sox..." Tigers' radio. The Red Sox are a VERY GOOD hitting team, and they're being made to look like Little Leaguers. Balta1701
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 13, 2013 -> 09:33 PM) Will Boston score this series? QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 15, 2013 -> 05:19 PM) Wow...six consecutive strikeouts for Verlander, after a tongue-in-cheek "rough start." Comparisons to 1968. That's how last game started to, as I note above.
Harry Chappas
Lackey is matching him almost pitch-for-pitch and I think the tigers at home are a more feared line-up than the Red Sox. BTW my kids like the afternoon games as they cannot stay up until 11:00 to watch the "evening games"
chw42
Verlander finally gave up a run.
caulfield12
Napoli's free agent asking price just went up about $5 million to the total deal.
Dick Allen
I hope Leyland is OK. He is yellow. He might have jaundice.
caulfield12
Miguel Cabrera looked terrible in that at-bat. Almost stunning he didn't get the job done with 1st and 3rd, one out...to at least tie the game. Obviously hurting...trying to play through it. Uehara's BAA for LHB's there was down in the low 100's....not a chance for Fielder. Just goes to show you don't ALWAYS have to have a fireballer as closer, KW. witesoxfan
I can't imagine Leyland is in good overall health. I'm sure he's still smoking a pack a day and has been for years and years.

Seriously, what are you talking about. Back in 2010 he called dark skinned Latino player "impostors" of the black players, and said that agents who want black faces have no reason to go to the southside of Chicago and sign a black guy for $5M when he can just pay a Domincan player "a bag of chips".
