I thought Curt Schilling had a good point about the cardinals, they don't look for the 5-tool players per se, but baseball players. They draft good baseball players, guys who know the game and understand it and are good all around players.

You look at their big homegrown contributors, a lot of late round next to nothing bonus guys. Considering the excuse the White Sox have had about draft position, the Cardinals seem to find away around it without going over slot.

Yeah, that's a horses*** excuse on the part of the Sox. Just take a look at what the Cardinals got in '09...Shelby Miller 1st round, Joe Kelly 3rd round, Matt Carpenter 13th round, Trevor Rosenthal 21st round, Matt Adams 23rd round. That's in one draft! And all 5 are on the current WS roster. Damn...

The Sox first three picks from 2010 are in the majors.
