Y2Jimmy0
QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 10:24 PM) I firmly believe we have a better team on paper than Minnesota. So that's saying something this season. Sox are making progress? Well I would hope so. I think the Twins are the worst team in the AL. southsider2k5
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 10:21 PM) The pitching part was expected, even with the new additions. Nolasco should be a decent pitcher, but he's not going to anchor the rotation. And the jury's far from out on Hughes, he's still quite young, but don't get your hopes up too much, even with Rick Anderson still around. Collabello has been one of the pleasant surprises of the early season (of course, if the White Sox had a good RFer defensively, most of his RBI's would be gone). Gibson really needs to develop into a 1/2 type of guy for the Twins to build any type of forward momentum. Same with Hicks in the outfield being an impact bat and not just showing promise/glimpses. The White Sox and Twins both look to have terrible bullpens, but at least you guys have an experienced guy at the back end in Perkins. Matt Lindstrom is unlikely to be closing one month from now...maybe even one week from now. Colabello screams Tuffy Rhodes, Chris Shelton, or any other April fluke you want to pick out of MLB. Was recording 101 MPH late..even with the gun set 2-3 MPH higher (as widely rumored), 98-99 ain't bad. Wil Myers K'd 3 times but was a key part of the winning run scoring late. greg775
Chen got rocked in 3 2/3 innings tonight vs. Minnie. Can KC keep a guy in the rotation just cause he beats the White Sox? Guthrie is slightly better than Chen. KC isn't gonna contend. If we can stay .500, big if, we can be in this race.

greg775
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 12, 2014 -> 08:32 PM) Royals having a rough time with the Twins. Royals have one home run all season. Should be interesting to see how many homers this club hits. I guess Hosmer still could hit up to 20 and Butler and Perez. But they have none right now. Gordon has the only home run. That's a severe lack of power.
