Marty34
If Felder's contract can be moved I'm even more hopeful that the Sox will find a taker for Danks.
Baron
QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Nov 20, 2013 -> 07:46 PM) Kinsler is a horrible player at this point, and he's not cheap either. Prince isnt exactly pulling his weight either
brian310
They get to move Miggy back to first after his groin surgery and extend any players that need extensions soon (Scherzer, Miggy)
Vance Law
QUOTE (Baron @ Nov 20, 2013 -> 09:42 PM) I honestly dont know what the Texas Rangers are doing Dealing the most expensive of their too many middle infielders and getting what should be a huge upgrade at first base. Their first basemen put up a .700 OPS last year. Looks like a smart deal for both sides.

I like the idea of giving Profar more time....do not like the idea of swapping Kinsler for Fielder depending on the money going back and forth. Dick Allen
QUOTE (raBBit @ Nov 20, 2013 -> 07:50 PM) Yeah that's for 2014. The Rangers will have to pay Fielder 24 million for the next 6 years after that. Cecil started falling apart right around 30. If you consider genes, Prince may only have a year or 2 as an elite hitter.
DirtySox
I wonder if this means Castellanos is going back to 3B.

Baron
Well Rick Hahn was right....whether he was talking about the trade market with us or around the league it is indeed heating up Edited November 21, 2013 by Baron
Ross
Really seems pretty good from a Rangers standpoint. Gain Prince and now have Profar, one of the top prospects in baseball, play second.
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Nov 20, 2013 -> 08:46 PM) Kinsler is a horrible player at this point, and he's not cheap either. And yet he was better than Prince last year, and a lot cheaper. This is an absolutely amazing trade for Detroit.

ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Nov 20, 2013 -> 09:02 PM) Slugged .413 and plays a below-average 2B. Maybe WAR isn't everything? Maybe slugging % isn't everything. Also, he referring to bWAR, which most people consider less accurate than fWAR, which graded Kinsler out at a 2.5 WAR, which seems more appropriate. Still though, it was higher than Prince's 2.2 fWAR last yaer.
Baron
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 20, 2013 -> 08:05 PM) Choo and Rios both have their best position as RF. Yep and I think giving McCann 100 million would be a mistake
