Quin
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 20, 2014 -> 02:09 PM) It would be an absolutely devastating blow to the Cubs front office and would be a huge victory for the Sox. And yes, the reason this matters is because of fair-weather fan draw. The Cubs would still get some, but the Sox would go a long way towards evening it out this year alone. If the Sox signed Tanaka and then did something like trade for Castro, a couple things happen. 1) Sox likely make the playoffs. 2) The rebuild is over. This would prompt Cubdom to ask "Why didn't we get Tanaka? Theo said these rebuilds take 5 years? They had bad contracts and it didn't hurt them? Weren't they worse than us last year?" BlackSox13
QUOTE (Baron @ Jan 20, 2014 -> 02:08 PM) Exactly....why would a team get this far and say screw it? Makes absolutely no sense. But until teams come out and say they were told they are out I'm not buying it. The only way it happens is if Tanaka informed the team that they are out and judging by his discretion to this point, teams won't know they are out til he makes his announcement. Also... Yep, boys and girls. #Cubs are in this thing for reals. Good confirmation. What the hell does "good confirmation" mean? MY BARBER KNOWS THEO'S DOG GROOMER AND SHE SAID HE LIKES TANAKA. Unless someone can show me that he has a credible reputation, why should I buy into anything he says? The Ultimate Champion
I already told you guys, Tanaka's goddamn f***in biorhythms indicate he will be making his decision sometime late tomorrow morning or early afternoon because that is the peak of his intellectual cycle. Put in this link: http://www.astrologycircle.com/biorhythm-calculator/ and use the birthdate of Nov 1 1988 Verbatim from the website: "This cycle indicates the verbal, mathematical, symbolic, and creative abilities and skills, as well as your capacity to apply reason and analysis to the world around you. At a high in the cycle, your mind is very sharp, analytically, logically and in concentration. Your creative, writing, decision making skills are at their peak. At the critical phase, you may avoid making decisions and there may be some mental indecisiveness. At the low level in the cycle, you may not be able to judge nor concentrate." And you guys are quoting some jerkoff Cubbie fan like it matters. Like Tanaka is going to make his mind up and, determined to reveal this deeply personal secret before he bursts (no homo), he's going to find the most lowly-ranked human being possible on the other side of the twitterverse and make his intentions known. Yeah right. Look at his biorhythms, that's all science right there.

Yeah right. Look at his biorhythms, that's all science right there. Whoops, I actually just realized I input the information incorrectly. Rather than being today, the report date provided was Jan 1 1900 His true biorhythms actually indicate he will be at the lowest point of his intellectual cycle sometime between the 22nd and 23rd. His emotional state OTOH will be at his peak, which according to the website involves the forming of new relationships. This means he still is likely to make his decision in the next day or two, but his decision will be stupid and emotionally charged. maybe this isn't a good sign for us, and the Cubs are the dumbest bunch of the group. Yes it is, time and time again they set their self up for failure. I want the Sox to sign Tanaka but if they don't life goes on and would still consider the Sox off season a good one that's made the team better. From what I've seen on the net cub fans REALLY have their hopes up big time and if it doesn't happen for them their attendance will continue spiraling downward. The front office has set their self up for failure if they don't deliver since the fans bought into the "we won't be outbid" bulls***. The fan base is already pissed, this would be the icing on the piss cake for them.

Also, as a point of reference, according to my own biorhythms I am nearing the bottom of my intellectual cycle on the same day as Tanaka. This likely means that up until that point I am getting dumber by the second and my posts are continuously lacking quality. The moment Tanaka signs I will become smarter (as will he) and we will both probably come to regret everything we have said and done over the previous week. Chicago White Sox
For those with little background on Loxas, here is what one poster on NorthSideBaseball said regarding his recent tweet that it was down to the Cubs & Yankees: Loxas has been dead on recently. Said Tanaka wouldn't be posted, has been saying we had no shot, then ventured into football saying Cutler didn't know whether Bears even wanted to offer him a contract-only to see him sign his extension the following day. On top of that, he reported a Cubs-Blue Jays trade involving Shark was "close" to happening in November and even knew what the Sox would require from the Cubs to trade Sale as if he listened in on some actual trade discussions. Apparently, this blogger has sources throughout the MLB, in multiple sports, and even across the Pacific Ocean!
