No. If he signs somewhere else for $25 million per for 6+ years, I say fine. The Sox can focus elsewhere. I don't want to see them go to $25 million or to 7 years, but the years scare me more than the yearly salary. I would like to see them sign him, but only if it stays around 5/100 or 6/120 and I don't think that will get it done. He already has a lot of mileage on that arm and I'd be nervous about handing out a 7 year deal to any pitcher unless the dollars were low. Seriously how many 25 year olds in the game make 20+ mill a year? Most are making league minimum or are in the arbitration process still.
