Jordan4life_2003
Too bad everything he says will happen nnever happens, Esteban got the Gammons Curse! I gotta agree with Peter on this one. If Loaiza even has a decent September he's the Cy-Young...
Wise Master Buehrle
And the people chose Eric Gagne, IMO a closer shouldn't be eligable for Cy Young...
Flash Tizzle
Gammonds says Esteban Loaiza is the BEST pitcher in the entire major league. Este beat out Nomo in Gammonds pick between the best pitchers in the AL,NL. Dumbass online voters gave Este 19% of the votes when the question was asked who was the best pitcher in baseball. How can anyone still doubt this guy, he shut out the Yanks and surrendered one damn hit.
RudyLawRules
Without E-Lo...we would be sniffing the Indians boots. 3 more wins and a final ERA near 2.50 and Mr. Loaiza meet Mr. Young. :fthecubs

clujer420
And the people chose Eric Gagne, IMO a closer shouldn't be eligable for Cy Young... If Gagne was pitching for a playoff team, I wouldn't have a problem with him being thought of for the Cy Young. But, IMO, just like the MVP winner normally does, the Cy Young winner should come from a playoff team. This year, the Dodgers aren't going to make the playoffs, nor will the Blue Jays. IMO, if the Sox win the Central, Loaiza is the Cy Young winner (unless he implodes), and if Frank continues his tear, he's got a real good chance at MVP. rafacosta
Everybody in the ESPN site is saying that Roy Halladay has a great chance to win the Cy Young. That's bulls***! He got rocked yesterday agst the Red Sox: 71/3 IP 11 hits, 6 ER, allowed 3 HRs and his ERA just went to 3.68.

He got rocked yesterday agst the Red Sox: 71/3 IP 11 hits, 6 ER, allowed 3 HRs and his ERA just went to 3.68. Everyone's still standing in line to suck Halladay's dick because of his winning streak. Fact is, anyone who knows a thing about baseball knows that he's having an inferior year when you compare it to Loaiza's. Loaiza's ERA is a full run lower, and the run support he gets is a full run lower as well. And, not to mention, Loaiza's doing it for a 1st place team. southsider2k5
The reason for Hallidays record? He is getting 2 more runs of support per game than anyone else in the top 5 of the AL in ERA.
The Critic
now that would be a real shame It WOULD be a shame if they fired him and he ended up working in Chicago!! Loaiza now has to contend with the Curse Of The Gerbil!!!
