Does a character need to have a breakdown and cry in every single episode of TWD? The formula is getting really boring. Yesterday's episode really frustrated me.

I understand what you are saying, but in the timeline of the show, that episode happened mere hours after those people lost everything. I cut the show slack for things like that. The drama is a little over forced sometimes though

I'm over TWD. Same s*** over and over. There's nothing exciting about slow ass zombies being bludgeoned in the head anymore.

I think I'm with you. My GF and I both agreed last night that it's just stupid. I was blaming it on True Detective being so good, but I'm starting to lean towards TWD being boring and dumb.

Of all times to quit, you're quitting when it's at its best. Which still isn't great mind you, but it's SO much better than the farm nonsense.

Not to mention the journey to

the Alexandria Safe Zone

is one of the better parts of the series.

I can't believe I didn't watch House of Cards until 3 days ago.

It's been on my watchlist for a while and now I can't stop watching.

I just started watching a couple days ago as well. I'm two episodes in but so far am underwhelmed. It's alright but nothing has really grabbed me yet. Maybe I just don't care about political thrillers? I'll probably at least watch through the first season

For me, it isn't about the politics. It's about how diablolical the main characters are. Francis Underwood almost makes Walter White look innocent.

The Political undertones are my favorite part. I watched 8 episodes this week already and plan on killing season one tonight and maybe tomorrow. The plot is awesome and I can already see some foreshadowing that will get exciting later on.

8 episodes in season 1? You've seen nothing yet. ;)

Good to hear, I was hooked after 30 min.

How did Netflix get exclusive rights to this show? It's crazy to think the networks passed on it.

Kevin Spacey and his group went around and proposed it to networks, HBO, Showtime, etc, and were declined. Then they went to Netflix and Hulu and Netflix wrote them a blank check for two seasons.

He told that story on The Daily Show this week.

Thats what I thought happened. Thats crazy to me, especially with him as the star and the EP. Netflix has scored on a few of these lately.

Netflix has incentive to release episodes every week as opposed to all at once. It keeps viewers interested and it keeps viewers subscribed longer. For all I know, a lot of people probably just get the one month trial and never subscribe afterwards.

I do love binge viewing though.

I imagine it'd be hard for a major network to carry a show that's this dark and air it every week at 8 PM.

They get to be a lot more explicit on Netflix and that's probably a good thing.

Oh, absolutely. It being on Netflix is perfect. The only other networks I'd want airing this would be Showtime or HBO, but I greatly prefer Netflix.
