2014 TV thread

In TV news noone expected (or probably wanted to hear) NBC has ok'd a reboot of Heroes.

Tim Kring will be in charge again.

I remember an interview with Kring after it imploded the first time around and he said a lot of his original ideas were nixed by the network including Syler losing a showdown with the good guys early in the show's run. The network said no due to his increasing popularity.

Also, I vaguely remember him mentioning the revolving door in the writing room in that some writers would start a storyline with an idea on where it was going and then be let go half way through and other writers changing direction.

I believe they are looking for a 2015 date and at this point it's not clear whether it would be a whole new cast, old cast or combination of both.

I binged the eps of True Detective to catch up to live. Probably a terrible episode to catch up to as it largely served as a table setter.

Fun show though, I haven't been this obssessive over clues since seasons 1 and 2 of Lost before all of those spider bite episodes became more common.

It was a table setter episode, but still a lot going on. So far Maggie, Rust, and Marty have all lied to the investigators about a lot of significant happenings over the past 10 years.

I loved the last scene of the show when the boys got back together. Marty obviously feels like Rust is on to something

House of Cards very good season 2. Will be interesting how Season 3 goes now.

I liked season 1 a lot better.

The closer he gets to the presidency, it's the natural evolution....but I enjoyed the Russo character's trials and tribulations and Robin Wright Penn had a much more interesting series of events to deal with last season IMO.

This year, it felt was 60-70% about the president and Rutherford.

Part of the problem might be the speed viewing through an entire season in 2-3 days thing again....last year, the excitement/interest of watching week by week kept me on the edge of my seat.

Seth Meyers...not a good start. You can only smile and pause for laughs so much.

His jokes were fine to me but yeah, the delivery was Weekend Update sans desk. Needs to be less like a cardboard cut out.

I forgot he took that gig. Fallon isn't funny either though. Craig Ferguson is the best in late night and even he doesn't give a s*** anymore.

I've watched the first two episodes of True Detective and I am hooked. And holy boobs on Woody's mistress.

Wait until you see the ass on the one this past week
