How much is X1?

I think they told us it was an extra $5 a month to change out our main box for the X1. But we ended up upgrading our entire service to something else, so all in all we are paying $11 extra a month to go from 6 regular HD boxes to 4 HD DVR X1 boxes, and 2 regular ones. But I am pretty sure we only got that deal because we were on the fence about switching to AT&T, so they sent us to their "Loyalty Department" to work out a deal to keep us.

@Variety

BREAKING: David Letterman retiring http://on.variety.com/1j68pel

@SeanMMcNally

Relevant to Letterman's retirement: Jon Stewart's contract expires mid-2015. Colbert's the end of 2014. http://nyti.ms/1hFNNtC

I think Stephen Colbert is in the right role for himself for life. I could totally see Jon Stewart taking this and have thought so for a while.

Do that many people actually watch those late night talk shows anymore? Judging from some people's reactions, you would think TV may never survive.

I still watch Conan every night but feel like I'm one of the few.

I like Kimmel but usually watch Conan or Stewart at 10, depending on what's going on.

I've found that it's always better to call when you want to add or change service. I called AT&T this morning to add HBO (and to drop two receivers I hardly use). I ended up getting a 3 month free upgrade to the best TV package and a 6 month free upgrade to the next fastest internet speed.

I know they do that in hopes of the consumer forgetting to drop the upgrades when the free time is up. But as long as you can remember, it's a good way to get the occasional free upgrade.

Watching this weeks Revolution I had to chuckle. I believe last year Monroe mentioned the California providence (and their savagery). With what I figured was a small inside joke he mentioned it was run by President Affleck. I laughed at the thought of Ben being President.

Anyways, this week's episode mentioned President Affleck but used the words 'her' and 'she' when doing it. LOL Who knew Jennifer could be such a savage President.......

Tell me more about how you think that technology is magic and doesn't actually exist in some form.

I believe in technology. Not in magic. You seem to be the opposite.

Agents of SHIELD, The Blacklist, Person of Interest and Scandal all picking up steam as their seasons near conclusions.

By the way, we now know the ethnic identity of Lip's "personal assistant/friend with benefits," she's an adopted Filipina. Wonder what happened to the cute blonde teaching assistant from earlier in the season....as well as the girl he met in the laundry room who volunteered to help with Liam?

Finally, Shameless is going somewhere...Frank's coming back from the dead, Carl has a Bonnie to go with his Clyde, and perhaps the most important scene of this year with Ian and Mickey. Even Debbie bounced back from her trauma, although no idea where that "relationship" is potentially going.

Fiona, though...still lost and drifting while Lip has become the center of the family and the hero/anti-hero of the show.

Wonder what Frank coming back as a more central character will do to the direction of the show?

No it wasn't. It was explicitly in the show that those schools were being used to find and exploit the children, and that there was a "a place down south where a bunch of Rich Men get some good killin"...

He threw the gasoline on the fire. I'm not talking about the Hbuntu actual supernatural theories, but there was too much to the broader scheme of the murders that basically just got resolved by saying "Wellp".

Yep, totally agree with this. Show was good with good acting but it took itself too seriously and the ending was pretty meh. Basically a slightly better version of The Killing without the red herrings.
